MOLDFLOW ANALYSIS

Inspire Mold is moldflow analysis tool that allows users to quickly analyse potential problems with their injection molding methods and identify manufacturing defects such as sink marks and air traps.

Immediate access to an integrated materials database allows customers to properly represent the materials they are working with in the simulation

Support for method design is included, automatically generating geometry for runner systems (Hot and Cold), gates, vents, cooling lines and other key mold components.

INSPIRE MOLD CAPABILLITIES

Part Optimisation

  • Predict rib placement to improve flow and reduce material usage

  • Target design objectives like light weighting and maximising stiffness whilst adhering to the manufacturing constraints you set

Method Design

  • Build the initial molding method from a 3D Component with multiple import options supporting all major CAD types

  • Automatically generate geometry the injection molding process including gates, runner systems (hot and cold), cooling lines, vents and other key mold components

Physics & Materials

  • Supported physics include filling, packing, cooling and warpage simulation (including fibres)

  • Data for 500+ materials is embedded into the product for high quality material data

  • Ability to add your own materials to build up a custom materials database

Method Development & Defects

  • Test and optimise different configurations including multiple cavities, mold inserts, sprue's, and runner systems

  • Easily detect typical defects such as sink marks, short shots, air traps and weld lines

  • Understand the warpage of the part

Post Simulation Analysis

  • Use results from moldflow analysis to conduct FEA Analysis on the finished part

  • Instantly check that the optimised part still meets your strength objectives

  • Conduct additional analysis like impact/drop testing, CFD and Thermal Analysis
